Issue Summary
THIS ISSUE IMPACT'S ALL VERSIONS USING THESE CONNECTORS.
Microsoft has announced the retirement of Office 365 connectors within Microsoft Teams, with a complete discontinuation by October 1st, 2024. These connectors are currently used by both the MS Teams for Jira and the Automation for Jira (A4J) plugin to send notifications and updates to Microsoft Teams channels. The retirement of these connectors could disrupt the existing integrations, affecting the workflow and communication between Jira Data Center and Microsoft Teams.
This is reproducible on Data Center: Yes
Steps to Reproduce
- Attempt to set up a new connector in MS Teams for Jira or A4J plugin.
- Observe the inability to create new connectors or the failure of existing connectors
Expected Results
- Users should be able to send messages and updates from Jira Data Center to Microsoft Teams channels seamlessly, using the MS Teams for Jira and A4J plugins.
Actual Results
- N/A
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. Transitioning to Microsoft Power Automate workflows, as recommended by Microsoft, could be a potential alternative.
