Ability to create advanced queries to search across all data

    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      Considering the existing search interface does not allow you to query every area of data (e.g., worklog, change history, issue links, etc.) and some areas (custom fields) cannot be queried without knowing some preexisting details, it would be very handy to have a search module that allows users to specify their SQL Syntax of choice to be ran against the database. A simple selectable field list that (on select) allows it to have its where clause value(s) specified for it.
