The Sprint Selection box is sized so that critical identifying information is hidden.  We have 100+ active scrum boards each with it's own set of sprints.   We use the ootb Jira Sprint Report to analyze the data.  This would not be a problem if, when you hover over the '...' selection, it would show the complete sprint name.  However, what it does is convert the name to its numerical sprint key and previews that.  Basically leaves the user guessing which causes a lot of frustration.

This recommendation is for:

Increasing the length of the Sprint Selection Box or make it variable.

and/or

2. Preview the sprint name rather than the numerical sprint key when hovering over a selection.
