The `Epic Status` field seems to have one purpose, to control visibility of Epics on the Epic Panel.  If that is the case, it would make more sense for users to abandon it entirely in favor of resolution.

The Epic Panel could then run off this logic:

      • Show `resolution is EMPTY`
      • Hide `resolution is not EMPTY`

Further, a button could exist to "Show Resolved Epics" so people can toggle as needed.

Hopefully this is already planned as Epics convert over to a uniform Parent/Child model, but if not then it seems like a really quick win and actually giving you a way to reduce debt.

If Epic Status is doing more than this, and it's not a binary show/hide and a status flow is justified, I'd love to learn what that is.
