    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      This suggestion is for submitting a formal feature request to improve the mobile experience with Jira Data Center, for mobile browsers only, not for the Jira Mobile App.

      We have tested and confirmed that the following scenarios are what we can advise our customer base when asked about accessing Enterprise Jira on a mobile device:

      • On any mobile device platform, you cannot use the Jira DC Mobile App, as the associated plugin for it has been disabled as our mitigation course per CVE‑2022‑26135. Additionally, the Jira DC Mobile App does not work in our environment due to how our applications are gated for ID authentication.

       

      • On an iPhone iOS mobile device, you can use the Safari web browser - enter in the address to our production instance, negotiate ID auth and MFA, and use the desktop view for basic, limited functionality.
        • can navigate to existing issues via their hyperlinks, review, add comments, etc.
        • can create a new issue, assign it, fill in any text fields. 
        • once the issue has been created, you can then move it through the workflow, add comments, add Component/s and other single-select drop-down menus in Issue view mode.
      • The same basic functionality described above does not currently work with Chrome or MS Edge Browsers on the iPhone iOS.

       

      • On an Android mobile device, you can use the Chrome or MS Edge web browser - enter in the address to our production instance, negotiate ID auth and MFA, and use the mobile view for basic, limited functionality.

        • can switch to desktop view to be able to do the actions described above for the iPhone

            Per the description of this suggestion, please note that individual user experience varies a lot. Some users can switch to and use the desktop view to get by, while others cannot and are stuck with mobile view only. While in mobile view on a mobile device, the UI is unusable. What we are hoping Atlassian can do is provide a more consistent experience for the mobile view via web browsers, regardless of mobile phone and OS type being used.
