Custom field values with more number characters or long string values need to get "word wrapped". Some of the text values get lost when the value is displayed in the dropdown.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a custom field with long characters or a sentence as it's name.
2. Create an issue and provide another sentence or long characters as the custom fields' value.
3. Go to JQL and search for that custom field by its value.
   

We can see the value is not "word wrapped". Only initial characters are displayed.

Customers would have requirements where the name of the custom field will be long and their meaningful values will be long. There will be difference at the end of the value. As the dropdown options are not word wrapped, all values look similar and it gets difficult to identify the intended value.
