I'm new creating new Jira project and I've noted that there is a Comment field in Edit screen which cannot be removed.

This is hardcoding and cannot be accepted. This is because we want to control all fields in our screens. Comment field is included to the screen by-default and there is no control for Jira project admin / owners.

Issue has been discussed earlier and it seems to be very clear that this is sole of the Jira service and may be very difficult to change.

One has also shown an opinion that Comment field has value while documenting changes to the Issue details. I can find Jira providing history view to track changes, so I do not know where exactly it can be used in this context.

Overall. I cannot see Comment field anyhow wanted. So I'm requesting a change that makes the Comment field configurable, so that project admins / owners can freely control all fields in the screen. By default Comment field shall not be included to any screens.

I hope this feedback is received and my proposal gets reviewed carefully. At the end I hope my proposal leads to a future improvement of the Jira service.
