    Description

      Issue Summary

When linking one issue to another, if issue A links issue B and issue B links issue A, the links are duplicated.

This is reproducible on Data Center: yes

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create two issues
      2. In issue 1 go to "more > link" and link the issue 2
        1. The issue 2 will appear in issue 1 AND the issue 2 as linked issue in issue 1 (as expected)
      3. In issue 2  go to "more > link" and link the issue 1 with same type (as example "relates to")
        1. The issue 1 will appear twice in issue 2, and same in issue 1.

      Expected Results

It is expected to see only one issue linked, as they are the same.

      Actual Results

We observe this occurs because the format the issue link is placed in database. As they store source and destination, when adding the link in both source and destination issues, a duplicate entry is seen, as below:

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
