Issue Summary
The asterisk symbols indicating required fields are not explained to the users in the "Add link" non-modal dialog (that appears on activating the "Add link" link in the side navigation).
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate onto the above mentioned page.
- Navigate onto the "Add link" link and activate it.
- Observe that the input fields in the non-modal are required.
- Observe that there are symbols that communicate this information.
- Observe that these symbols are not explained anywhere in the non-modal.
Actual Results
There are input fields that identify themselves as required with an asterisk symbol. However, the meaning of the symbol is not explained.
This may particularly disadvantage users that find navigating the web cognitively challenging. That the symbol is not explained may confuse or misguide users.
Expected Result
Use clear and descriptive instructions. Make sure that the instructions are visible and permanent. When using a symbol to denote required fields, make sure that the symbol is explained and placed before the fields.
