    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      Issue Summary

On the "Board configuration" page decorative image present in the "Projects in board" form field is provided with a textual description as “Kanbann” due to which redundant information is announced for screen reader users.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Navigate to the “Boards” menu pop-up link and activate it.
      2. Navigate to the “Configure” link and activate it.
      3. Navigate to the main content
      4. Navigate to the "Projects in board" form field and observe the screen reader announcement

      Screenshot

      Actual Result

When the user navigates onto the "Projects in board" form field, it is announcing as "Kanbann”. This is because the decorative image used is provided with unnecessary textual descriptions via alt attribute.

This will cause confusion among screen reader users as decorative content is being announced unnecessarily.

      Expected Result

Remove the alt attribute and add the empty alt =”" attribute for mentioned decorative images so that they can be ignored by assistive technologies, such as screen readers.
