Issue Summary
The Issue Statistics Gadget shows wrong results for "Team" type if there are sub-tasks associated with any of the Teams.
The gadget should be displaying each team along with the count of issues associated with it, however, if there's a sub-task (which inherits the team value from the parent task) the gadget will not include it in the results. However, if the count number is clicked (to display the issues through the JQL search) the result will be correct (the total of tasks + sub-tasks).
That also leads to incorrect value for "None" (which displays the issues not associated with any teams) as it takes the sub-tasks into count but when the link is clicked the JQL result will be less (as the sub-tasks with Teams will not be included).
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)
Steps to Reproduce
- At least one team is a prerequisite.
- Have at least two issues to test with.
- Assign one issue to the team.
- Create a sub-task to that issue (which will inherit the same team).
- Create an "Issue Statistics" gadget with Statistics Type "Team".
Expected Results
The gadget should display the count of issues associated with that team to be 2 and the "None" to be 1.
Actual Results
The gadget displays 1 issue associated to the team and 2 as "None":
Here's a screenshot when the "1" count is clicked (for the Team issues):
(Notice that the actual result is two issues not one as the sub-task is included)
A screenshot when the "2" count is clicked (for the None issues):
(Notice that the actual result is one issue only)
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
