      Problem

      URL: https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/REST/9.4.4/#api/2/auditing-getRecords

The deprecation of those REST API calls for the Audit log is a result of the Advanced Audit Log feature that was added back in Jira 8.8. See the article Auditing in Jira.

There is a link towards the bottom which directs to the REST API calls found at Audit log improvements for developers. here you will see the old call /rest/api/2/auditing/record is replaced by /rest/auditing/1.0/events amongst others.

      Expected Behaviour

We should have the new REST API updated in our documentation instead of mentioning deprecated and causing confusion for users to look for the new API. Or provide details information about the API changes and direct to the new API page.

      Actual Behaviour

The customer notice the deprecated status and start using it but failed to retrieve the audit data.
