Issue Summary
On the “Edit dashboard” page, the dynamically added content is not communicated to the users of assistive technologies.
Note:- A similar issue has been observed on the Backlog page of content not announced for screen reader users. Please refer to screen recording 2.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to the “Dasboards” menu pop-up link and activate it.
- Navigate to the “Manage Dashboards" link and activate it.
- Navigate to “Create new dasboards” link and activate it. and Create a new dasboard
- Open "Edit dashboard" page.
- Navigate to the mentioned dropdown and select an option.
- Observe that the content is added on the page
Actual Result
As soon as users select an option from the "Add fields" dropdown, the selected option is added on the page. Although this information is easily conveyed to sighted users, but it is not announced for screen reader users.
Expected Result
Ensure that the screen reader announces the added content when the users select an option from the "Add fields"
This can be achieved using role=” status” and aria-live=” atomic” attributes.

Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
