I often miss having a dedicated icon for something in-between the standard red and green icons, to signify "in progress", "pending", "started", "working" etc.
None of the other icons fit the bill naturally, without an agreed-upon convention with the reader.

I would like (a) new icon(s) specially designed for this purpose.
The icon should:

• be in the same graphical style and weight as
• be round - like other "nothing wrong" icons
• be blue - "neutral" in relation to red and green
• display a symbol recognizable as "ongoing" or "incomplete"
  • three dots?
  • cogwheel(s)?
  • circular dotted "spinner"? (not animated)
  • other?
• use markup reflecting the meaning, or the graphic or preferably both:
  • (%)
    • might look a bit like cogwheels
    • hints at something incomplete or partial
  • (&)
    • might look like a bit like cogwheels
    • hints that there is more
  • (...)
    • matches three dots perfectly, and dotted spinner quite well.
