Issue Summary
There is only one option for the CAPTCHA task and it requires vision to complete it successfully.
Element:
1) Captcha
Location:
this appears while trying to sign in via admin credentials.
Note: This issue is also applicable on JSM DC.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to the Jira page
- Navigate to the Log in page
- Try to navigate to the CAPTCHA image with the help of the screen reader.
Actual Results
The "Log In" form contains a CAPTCHA image. As a result, information conveyed by the image is not available for screen reader users. Screen reader users and users with low vision will be unable to enter the captcha and submit the form.

Expected Results
Since it is not possible to create a fully accessible CAPTCHA, best practice is to avoid using them. Alternative security methods can be implemented to prevent spam while creating a fully accessible form (e.g. using hidden fields, checking the time taken to fill out the field, etc).
For this we recommend Replacing the CAPTCHA image with a simple logical question.
Or alternatively provide Captcha with audio or another accessibility option.

Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
