Issue Summary
This is reproducible on Data Center: yes
Filtering by fix version or affects version suggests inconsistent results between basic search and advanced search. In basic search, archived versions are not suggested or selectable, but are in advanced search.
In Jira <8.0.0, all versions are suggested and selectable. This bug still exists in Jira 9.7.0.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a project and add Version A and Version B under the versions tab of project settings.
- Mark Version A as archived.
- Navigate to basic search and try to filter fix version or affected version to Version A.
Expected Results
All versions, including Version A, appear in the version picker dropdown.
Actual Results
Only Version B appears in the fix version and affects version dropdown.
Workaround
Switch to advanced search – first building out the rest of the query in basic search if necessary.
