When adding attachments, Jira appends a suffix (-1, -2, -3, etc.) to the filename in case it already exists. This behavior can be disabled with a dark feature (see https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-8483). However, it would be helpful to customize the suffix (to _1, _2, _3, etc., or a different pattern) in some cases. Therefore, it would be beneficial to have a feature in Jira to allow such behavior.
