Project Picker Custom Field being cleared on issue edit

Issue Summary

Project Picker Custom Field being cleared on issue edit and automatically resets to 'None'.

This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a project picker custom field (single project)
2. Map the created project picker custom field to a project and assign to an issue
3. Try to access the jira issue with an user which does not have browse permission on the project entered into project picker field
4. Click on edit issue
5. Project picker field resets to None

Expected Results

The project picker field is not cleared off and should not reset to none

Actual Results

Project picker field gets cleared off when user does not have access on the project mapped in the project picker field

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
