    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

      Issue Summary

When end-users does not have permission to see the Epic and Epic Link is added into the issue then end-users are unable to edit the issue. The error message being displayed on the UI is also not intuitive, i.e. editissue.error.component.notexists.

This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes) / (no)

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create an issue security scheme and assign it to an epic making it restricted to particular user/group
      2. Create issues under this Epic
      3. Login with user who does not have permission to see the epic
      4. Try editing an issue under this Epic
      5. Editing an issue fails with error message editissue.error.component.notexists

      Expected Results

Functionality as such does not seem to be a bug but the error message is not proper for end-users

      Actual Results

      Workaround

When Epic Link is removed from edit screen then end-users are able to edit the issue.
