Description
Issue Summary
When end-users does not have permission to see the Epic and Epic Link is added into the issue then end-users are unable to edit the issue. The error message being displayed on the UI is also not intuitive, i.e. editissue.error.component.notexists.
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes) / (no)
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an issue security scheme and assign it to an epic making it restricted to particular user/group
- Create issues under this Epic
- Login with user who does not have permission to see the epic
- Try editing an issue under this Epic
- Editing an issue fails with error message editissue.error.component.notexists
Expected Results
Functionality as such does not seem to be a bug but the error message is not proper for end-users
Actual Results
Workaround
When Epic Link is removed from edit screen then end-users are able to edit the issue.
