Issue Summary
Jira will create an entry on both activity feed and also on issue history whenever a user authenticates
Steps to Reproduce
- Create two instances on Jira 9.1 or Jira 9.2
- Link both through Application Links (no matter authentication type, nor if same user base)
- Create sample projects on both
- Link issues between them (no matter the order)
- Access the issues with your local credentials
- Any new access/athentication registers an "<user> updated application Link" entry on activity feed gadget and also on the issue itsel:
Expected Results
No unnecessary updates to history, activity gadget feed
Actual Results
Incorrect reporting on the issue history/activity gadget
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
