JIRA automation - Add an action to execute JQL query

For Jira automation I would like to have an action which just executes a JQL query so that I can pass down the result to further actions.

I know I can add a JQL with the Scheduled trigger, but in case you want to execute some actions independently of the JQL result it's not possible (e.g. I build a rule via scheduler selecting all issues without fix version followed by an action to create a new release and assign the release to the issues - problem is that the release is created per issue from the JQL returned).
