Description
Issue Summary
Heading structure is found to be inappropriate on the page. Text such as "Introduction", "Assigned to me", "Activity stream", etc are marked as
and "Your company Jira" is marked as
inappropriately.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate with screen reader turned on.
- Use heading shortcut to navigate.
- Observe that the heading level is skipped.
Actual Results
While navigating with screen reader, when user use heading shortcut such as H (in jaws) & Ctrl + Opt + Cmd + H (In VoiceOver) to navigate through headings, the heading levels are skipped. The
level is used right after
inappropriately. This makes screen reader users difficult to understand the page content structure effectively.
Expected Results
The heading levels should be announced as per the visual hierarchy by screen reader to understand the page structure.
Update the heading levels of the mentioned text as below.
-
Introduction

-
Assigned to me

-
Activity stream

-
Your company Jira

This match visual hierarchy & becomes easy for screen reader users to understand the page structure.
