Problem

With the release of Jira Software Server 9.x, multiple workflow transition buttons can no longer be displayed by themselves when modifying the ops.bar.group.size.opsbar-transitions attribute value within the ../JIRA_HOME/ jira-config.properties file. 

This is a feature that existed in previous versions of Jira and has been requested by customers to be returned.

Expected Results

If we were to set a value in the ops.bar.group.size.opsbar-transitions attribute within the ../JIRA_HOME/ jira-config.properties file to add more buttons, we would expect to see the following:

Actual Results

Out of the box, the transitions are not displayed as a drop down. Updating the attribute no longer has any affect:

Workaround

There is no out of the box workaround for this Suggestion at the moment. Please check Atlassian Marketplace, Developer and Community for third-party workarounds.

Notes

This was a change that was implemented recently according to Jira 9.0 Release Notes - Issue statuses and transitions are now in one place which is the reason for interface changes including the new UI for the transitions menu.
