Issue Summary
Unexpected version discrepancy for Jira core, Jira Software, and Jira Service Management
This is reproducible on Data Center: Yes
Steps to Reproduce
- Install JIRA Software version 8.20.10 which also installs JIRA core of same version
- Upgrade JIRA core to 8.20.13
- Jira UI recommends to upgrade JIRA Software and/or Jira Service Management as well, as this is incompatible with JIRA core version 8.20.13
- Upgrading JIRA Software and/or Jira Service Management from the UI upgrades it to 8.20.12 / 4.20.12 and not 8.20.13 / 4.20.13
5. Though it again recommends to upgrade it further to 8.20.13 as 8.20.12 is not compatible (but it is not observed every time)
Expected Results
JIRA Software when upgraded should upgrade it to same version as that of JIRA core at once
Actual Results
JIRA Software did not upgrade to same version as that of JIRA core and multiple upgrade attempts were required
Workaround
If no prompt is shown to upgrade the Jira Software to version 8.20.13 or Jira Service Management to version 4.20.13, use the jira software obr file to upgrade Jira Software and/or the JSM 4.20.13 obr file to upgrade Jira Service Management manually.
