Gadgets overlap after collapse and refresh

      Issue Summary

      The dashboard gadgets do not align correctly after a collapse or a refresh. To make them appear properly the gadgets need to be kept expanded and then hit a refresh
      This is reproducible on Data Center: yes

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Install and Setup Jira 9.x.x
      2. Create a dashboard with a few gadgets
      3. Collapse a gadget and observe that the gadget below does not align itself
      4. Hit a refresh and observe a black space after the gadget that collapsed earlier
      5. Now expand all the gadgets and hit a refresh to get a clear view
        Please watch the screen recording for a better view of the problem

      Expected Results

      Gadgets to be aligned properly according to the space available

      Actual Results

      Gadgets do not align properly after the collapse or a browser refresh

      Workaround

      Expand all the gadgets and hit a refresh on the browser. All the gadgets will load correctly in their respective spaces.

            I would like to report that the problem still exists in Jira 9.4.3 and is not fixed as mentioned by you. This issue is not closed!

            Why is this still in the long term backlog? It has quite a big, negative impact on a Jira standard functionality, we do not feel comfortable recommending Jira Dashboards to clients at this point.

            This bug is indeed affecting the Structure gadget of Tempo/ALM Works as well.

            This bug is quite annoying. The gadgets from the Structure app actually fail all the time. We did several tests and disabled all the apps, but could not fix the problem. I'm surprised this issue hasn't gotten more votes yet.

            Hi Team,

            We had a plugin named InVision for Jira installed in our instance, When we disabled this plugin the dashboard overlapping seems to be resolved.

            Jira version - 8.20.12

            This is not only affecting Jira 9.x but also there in Jira 8.20.12. Workaround suggested is not helpful. Even after rearranging & hitting refresh it goes back to the old way.
