Issue Summary
This is reproducible on Data Center: yes
In the versions I have tested (8.13.10, 8.20.7, 8.22.3, 8.22.6), if I set the renderer of the 'Comment' field to 'Default Text renderer' then clicking the 'Add comment' button at the top of the issue view UI, the browser would automatically scroll to display the 'Comment' box and put the cursor focus inside the comment box. This is the expected behavior. However, if I click the 'Add comment' button at the bottom view issue UI, then the page does not automatically scroll to display the comment box. I have to manually scroll the page to see the 'Comment' box.
Steps to Reproduce
- Step 1: Set the renderer of the 'Comment' field to 'Default Text renderer'
- Step 2: Bring up an issue to view. There are two 'Add comment' buttons on the UI. One on the top menu and one toward the bottom of the UI. Click the 'Add comment' button at the bottom of the UI.
Expected Results
The expected result is that the page would scroll automatically to display the 'Comment' box in the main view.
Actual Results
The actual result is that the page does scroll automatically to bring the 'Comment' box into the main view. Users would have to manually scroll to get to the 'Comment' box.
Workaround
Manually scroll to bring the 'Comment' box into view.
