UPM reports that Atlassian supported apps are not compatible with a Jira 9.0+ upgrade even though they are bundled

Issue Summary

If a customer is on a version older than Jira 9.0, the UPM will report that at least two Atlassian provided and built-in apps are incompatible with Jira 9.0+ even though they are included in Jira 9.0+

The two apps which are known about are:

• Atlassian Universal Plugin Manager Plugin
• SSO for Atlassian Data Center

Note that the compatible versions are not up to date compared to what is provided in Jira 9.0 and the compatibility for both does not mention Jira 9.0+

This is reproducible on Data Center: yes

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install a version of Jira greater than 8.0.0 but lower than 9.0.0
2. Go to the configuration cog > Manage apps
3. Select Manage apps from the side menu.
4. At the bottom of the page, click the JIRA update check link
5. Select version 9.0.0 or above from the list
6. Click Check

Expected Results

Atlassian apps should be listed as compatible, especially when they are bundled with Jira 9.0.0+.

Actual Results

There are a variety of Atlassian supported and bundled apps which show as incompatible.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
