Description
Issue Summary
The Jira errors.jsp page contains a hyperlink to help with the collection of logs. The hyperlink is titled "the logs", however this link redirects to Confluence documentation. This leads to confusion on how to gather Jira logs.
This is reproducible on Data Center: Yes
Steps to Reproduce
The easiest way I found to reproduce the issue was to point two Jira instances to the same home directory. This will force the page to come up. But this could observed any time the error.jsp page is loaded
- Install 2 instances of Jira on the same machine
- Point both instances to the same Jira Home
- Start one instance (wait until it is fully started and locks the home directory)
- Start the second instance of Jira
- Attempt to access the second instance of Jira. This should result in the "Jira had problems starting up" error page
- Select "the logs" hyperlink at the bottom of the page
- Notice it redirects to Confluence documentation
Expected Results
This page should redirect to Jira Startup check documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/startup-check-starting-jira-872266333.html
Actual Results
This page actually redirects to Confluence documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/startup-check-providing-logs-for-support-936509900.html
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
