Apps auto upgraded after applying trial license

The customer had a Jira instance which had apps that needed renewal (trial versions). The app versions were not latest and on applying the license from market place (Generating it from "Try it free" link), the apps were upgraded to latest version.

This led to outage as many configurations broke.

The "Automatically update Atlassian-selected apps" check was disabled. All apps where the license was patched were upgraded.
