[JRASERVER-73806] Mobile browsers' UI are broken

Our company can't use the mobile app for various reasons (some technical, some security-related.) We would prefer the mobile web view please.

The main reason for going to the web view is that emails/discussions link to our Jira web server and hence to the browser.

            Hey 42c2ca96e862,

do you mind sharing why do you prefer to use a limited web view instead of well-supported mobile app with better UX and more functionalities available from there https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/mobile-app/data-center-server?

            Best regards

While we have upgraded and the issue is resolved, I would like to vote to keep the support for jira-mobile plugin as the Jira mobile app offers very limited functionality.

Alternatively, if you do decide to deprecate, we need to have a working solution(as opposed to defaulting to a non-working mobile view with no recourse to access full site.)

Thank you all for helping us get to the cause of the issue. We’ve identified the problem. We recommend either downgrading your Jira to 8.20 LTS, or upgrading it to our latest Jira 9 version.
Please keep in mind that in the near future we’ll also be deprecating jira-mobile plugin in favour of Jira mobile app found on Android/iOS app stores.

We found the following workaround ( which is to complicated to explain to our customers, but could be used internally for our support team)

            Workaround

            1. Request for desktop website (click on the AA in the browser for Safari)
            2. Edit the link, remove everything behind <base URL>/

Any update when this will be fixed? This is impacting a lot of our processes and users cant access tickets on the go from mobile delaying communication and response.
