Editing custom text field and entering -1 makes it disappear

Issue Summary

This is reproducible on Data Center: yes

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create "Text Field (single line)" or "Text Field (multi line)" custom field and associate it with some project
2. Associate the custom field with the project and its Default Screen
3. Create an issue and add any value to it, e.g.: 1
4. Edit the issue and put the value: -1

Expected Results

The custom field value is: -1

Actual Results

The field disappears. There is no error in the application logs.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
