Issue Summary
In Jira 8.20.1, It is not possible to mention a user in comments, If the user is present in a group that contains German umlauts letters in Name.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a user group with german umlauts (e.g. AH_Műszak_ÜTO_BO_Mindenki)
- Add a user to this group.
- Add this group to any project with a role with browse User Permission.
- Try to mention the user in the comments section.
Expected Results
Jira should find and show the user in the dropdown list.
Actual Results
Jira can't find the user in the dropdown list.
Workaround
Jira behaves as expected if the group name does not have german umlauts in the group name.
