Copying hierarchies between projects or populating them as a dropdown in the target project

XMLWordPrintable

As a product manager, I would like to assign the objectives, initiatives etc to the epic level so that I can create dashboards using it.

Currently, it is possible to define a hierarchy level above epics in a project. But if there is a solution backlog for items waiting for refine, and there is another backlog for the release, then actual initiative/legend/objective/key results level in solution backlog is not copied to the release.

And there may be multiple epics with multiple stories under the new hierarch level in solution backlog, and some of those epics and stories could be moved to the release backlog. In this case, the levels are not copied (no need to move, as there are still epics under it) to the release backlog.

I want to keep the relationship as the

Objective/Vision  -> Copy from Solution Backlog to Release backlog

Epic              ->  Copy or move from solution backlog to release backlog

Story       ->    Move from solution backlog to release backlog

I wanted to create a 2-D dashboard to see the epics and stories linked to a particular objective such as

                                           Release1             Release 2               Release 3

                 Objective 1        StoryCount1       StoryCount2          StoryCount3

                 Objective 2

but not possible to create filters to link a story or epic to the objective.
