Text field editor's table properties context menu does not save changes

Open an issue, add a Comment
Click the Visual button to switch to the editor's Visual Mode
Click the + menu pulldown (of the editor buttons above the field) then select Table, to insert a table
Right-click on the table and select Table properties
Make changes to the table formatting
Click Save
Click Add to add the comment

Changes to Comment field's table are saved after clicking Add button

Changes to Comment field's table do not take effect

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
