There are times when large amounts of data needs to be imported into Jira (ie. merging systems, migrations, integrations, etc.).

When this involves large amounts of data, it can negatively affect the performance of the system or cause the index threads to be overloaded and fall behind.

It would be nice to be able to disable/skip indexing for these operations, allowing the admin to manually re-index after it is complete.
