Status category as a option in Issue Navigator

I would like to be able to use Status Category (statusCategory in JQL) as an option in the Issue Navigator - both as a search parameter / filter as well as column.

In large instances, there are hundreds of statuses. If you need to filter and report across project, the ability to search based on Status Category is very useful.
