Issue Summary
After upgrading Jira Software or Core to version 8.13 or higher, the installed JSM version isn't recognized as incompatible, and that it should be upgraded.
UPM version doesn't seem to affect this. The problem has been observed with new UPM versions (after bundling) and persisted when downloading old UPM versions, from before the bundling.
Steps to Reproduce
- Install Jira Software and Jira Service Management in a version below 8.13
- Apply data center license to both apps
- Upgrade JSW to 8.13 or higher
- Go to Cog > Applications and notice that JSM isn't recognized as incompatible
Expected Results
A message should be displayed on the Applications page saying that the current JSM version is incompatible and that it should be upgraded.
Actual Results
Jira won't inform that JSM needs to be upgraded, possibly leading to incompatibility between them.
Workaround
- Obtain the URL/link for the proper JSM version from the JSM Version page
- Go to Cog > Manage Apps > Manage Apps
- Click on Upload and paste the URL obtained from step 1 in the plugin URL
- Wait for the upgrade to finish
No restart is required.
