Ship OpenJDK Java Release 11 by default with Jira

      Problem Definition

      Jira supports Java 11 starting from version 8.2. See docs - Supported platforms and related announcement Java 11 / OpenJDK support update for Server and Data Center products

      Availability of Java LTS versions (from https://adoptopenjdk.net/support.html):

      • Java 8 (LTS) till at least May 2026
      • Java 11 (LTS) till at Least Oct 2024
      • Java 17 (LTS) starting from Sep 2021

      Suggested Solution

      Ship AdoptOpenJDK JRE 11 with Jira installer.

      Workaround

      Install a supported version of Java 11 manually
