On Jira 8.11, an enhancement for the Issue Detail View was implemented, making it optional. When this functionality is used (Board > Hide detail view), clicking on the issue doesn't show the Issue Detail, as expected. It would be a nice addition to be able to click on the issue key in the card and be redirected to the View issue screen.
