      Problem Definition

We can confirm after a conversation with the DEV team, there is no support for server querying of the JIRA REST API with JWT authentication.
The DEV team is working to implement oAuth2.0 for the Jira server, but currently, only Jira cloud has support for JWT.

      Suggested Solution

Can we have a feature that makes Jira consume JWT token for REST APIs usage?

Something similar to the JWT authentication which is being used on Jira Cloud, but, in preference something more "generic" that users can integrate with their own apps.

We can see it's implemented for Confluence as well: https://developer.atlassian.com/server/confluence/How-to-make-REST-API-endpoints-available-for-JWT-authentication/
