Application access page not accessible if the number of groups exceeds 1500

Issue Summary

If there are huge number of groups (more than 1500) added to the "Application access" permission, the page Application Access becomes unresponsive

Steps to Reproduce

Pre-requisite: There should be more than 1500 groups in the Jira instance

1. Add 1500 groups to the "Jira Software" Application Access
2. Click on Cog Icon > Applications > Application Access
3. The page will keep on loading and will give multiple errors (Attached herewith)

There are no traces of error in the logs related to the behavior

Heap size : 2GB

Expected Results

The page should load without any errors

Actual Results

The page never loads due to which new projects cannot be configured and application access can't be granted

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
