Summary

When configuring Jira to use SSO with third-party tools such as Jira SAML SSO using default group memberships, Jira does not populate its tables to include all related data to ensure that users can log in properly for the first time. Due to that, it is necessary to manually insert each user in the required group on Jira to ensure that they will be able to log in.

Suggested Solution

Detect when an user tries to log in using SSO to include the necessary data in the cwd tables in the first login to ensure that he/she will receive the group membership properly and will be able to access Jira.
