As an admin of Jira, it would be very useful for a manager to be able to have certain fields always preselected for a user when they select the "Configure fields" button in a Jira issue screen. This would allow for a manager or administrator to keep certain fields in a user's screen initially without having all fields displayed.

The only workaround right now is to make a field required, but some user's would prefer to still keep these fields as optional while making sure they are automatically checked to show in "Configure fields".
