Description
Summary
It appears that if the last time a user is Adding/Editing a Comment in Visual mode, the next time the user would like to do the same operation, it will stay in that mode. It would be the same if it is in Text Mode. The problem here is that if the last operation was in Visual mode, editing an existing comment in Safari would not be shown any content at all. It will only show when it is in Text mode after that.
Steps to Replicate.
- Access a ticket from Business or Software Project.
- Add a comment to the ticket in Visual mode.
- Edit the same comment.
Expected Result.
- Comment content will be shown.
Actual result.
- The Comment content goes missing
Workaround
- Before clicking "Cancel" when editing the comment, make sure it is on "Text Mode". After that, Edit the comment again and now the content would not go missing when Visual mode is selected.
Note
if you are using smart-attachments-for-jira, this can cause behavior similar to this bug, as such it is recommend to update to version 2.13.8 when it is available
