Problem Definition
The https://aws.amazon.com/quickstart/architecture/jira document (referred to in our official docs e.g. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/getting-started-with-jira-data-center-on-aws-938846966.html) points to a template maintained in https://github.com/aws-quickstart/quickstart-atlassian-jira which hasn't been updated in a while. This repo points users to raise feedback in a different repo on Bitbucket https://bitbucket.org/atlassian/atlassian-aws-deployment which appears to be more up to date.
Suggested Solution
Update our official JIRA Data Center getting started documentation to point to newer templates in the Bitbucket Repo instead.
Why this is important
- The AWS template in the Bitbucket repo template is actually more up to date with more customization options and features than the old template e.g it provides more choices of EC2 instance types. It is also more consistent with the quickstart deployment for other Atlassian products
- The old repo is no longer being maintained so pointing to it in our documentation does create some confusion to users.
