Hi,
As a JIRA Admin I would like to prevent search engines from indexing my (private) JIRA instance.
Current situation
Filesystem modifications are needed to modify the robots.txt (as per https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/using-robots-txt-to-hide-from-search-engines-861253859.html )
Problem
The modifications need to be repeated for every update/upgrade, which makes updating hard, more time consuming and causes friction
Suggestion
Option A: Make the robots.txt editable from within Jira without the need to modify the filesystem
Option B: Provide a switch for Jira Admins to "Prevent indexing of this Jira instance by search engines", which could set meta headers like noindex, nofollow as an alternative to robots.txt. But this is aleady covered in JRASERVER-64852
