email will not get sent from queue

      I've been running fine from day 1 and today email will no longer be sent automatically - I have to flush the mail queue manually. I've tried editing the service's number of minutes and restarted JIRA and its server 3 times. All to no avail. The messages will not be delivered. This is critical for us since everyone has learned to depend on email notifications.
