Image thumbnails show up as broken in email when attached to ticket

      Summary

      When attaching an image to a ticket and including a thumbnail in the comment, the comment fails to show up in the notification received and shows up as a broken image instead. Example of issue shown below. This occurs for both Service Desk and Regular JIRA notification.

      Environment

      • Reproduced on multiple versions and email clients

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Scroll down and select the Add Comment box
      2. Select the Paperclip icon, then browse
      3. Select any image to upload
      4. Check the email notification

      Expected Results

      The notification includes a thumbnail of the attached image

      Actual Results

      The Attachment doesn't render and shows as a broken link

      Workaround

      No current workaround
