Cluster lock healthcheck fails with NoClassDefFoundError

XMLWordPrintable

      Summary

Cluster Locks healthcheck in the Troubleshooting and support tools section in Administration panel consistently fails with the following error:

Exception during health check invocation java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/atlassian/beehive/db/spi/ClusterLockStatus

It always fails in the affected Jira versions, even if the cluster locks are fine. Problem is caused due to refactoring the related ClusterLockStatus code.

      Environment

      • Jira Datacenter

      Expected Results

No errors when the cluster locks work.

      Actual Results

It always fails in the affected Jira versions, even if the cluster locks are fine.

      Notes

      • The failing healthcheck results in a popup (visible only to Jira admins) when logging it - the admin can click "Don't show me this again" to prevent them from popping up again.
      • The issue will be fixed in the Atlassian Troubleshooting and Support Tools system plugin update (ATST). Admins will be able to update the plugin without the need to update their entire Jira instance.

      Workaround

      • There is currently no workaround.
