Problem Definition

By default, exporting a result set of more than 1,000 issues will present the user with a Forbidden (403) error. This error is a bit vague and does not provide users with a clear path to resolution.

Suggested Solution

• Include a modified link to the URL that appends the &tempMax=1000 argument. Link text should read as "Download the first 1,000 results". This gets us close to the pre-7.2 export behavior.

Why this is important

The 403 error is confusing to users, who assume a problem with Jira and raise support requests with their administrators.
